MITO SettembreMusica 2010 in Milan and Turin

The third edition of MITO SettembreMusica hits the stage September 3 - 24, 2010, with over 250 concerts scheduled between Milan and Turin.

Great music starts the festival with classical, ethnic, jazz, pop and rock concerts.

Over 4,000 performers including Bill Cobham, John Cale, Nicole Mitchell, Francesco Guccini, Helmut Lachenmann, Wolfgang Rihm, Kudsi Erguner, Gewandhaus Orchestra, Orchestre de Paris, Filarmonica della Scale will perform on hundred stages set up for the event.

MITO SettembreMusica was born of the will of two great cities, Milan and Turin, to develop various forms of cooperation.

The diversified MITO SettembreMusica audience is increased by facilitated access to performances - more than half of which boast free admission - as well as by the fact that the event brings the music to the people, with concerts held in unusual locations such as churches, courtyards, cloisters and museums.

The event opens in Milan on September 3rd at Teatro la Scala with Gewandhaus Orchestra.
